A man putting up a poster of a candidate for the 2005 Presidential election along the Sadr highway, north of Tehran. The capital city of Iran, going from 3 to 12 million inhabitants in 30 years, had to build highways right in the middle of residential neighborhoods to relieve the traffic congestion. On some highway roadsides, one can still see bathrooms cut in halves by the roadwork.
